ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Citizenship ED+ project is a collaborative initiative aimed at enhancing
active citizenship education among young Europeans. The project’s primary
goals are to empower young Europeans through active citizenship, provide
educators and youth workers with effective and innovative teaching
methodologies and tools, and advocate for structured active citizenship
education. Key objectives include developing a comprehensive 30-hour
curriculum, based on experiential learning in local communities and
implementing this curriculum in 8 high schools across 4 countries, involving
at least 200 students. Additionally, the project aims to develop and distribute
guidelines for teaching active citizenship and launch an advocacy campaign
with educational authorities. The initiative will culminate in a final expert
international conference, showcasing the achievements and community
impacts realised by young participants.
