In all partner countries (Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Austria and Belgium) youth work takes different forms, and is differently recognized and valued. Through our regular work, the partner consortium has perceived that youth workers are still quite invisible and often marginalized when it comes to the values they bring to society as a whole. We are all highly motivated to address this challenge and make youth work stronger, more recognizable, better validated and guided by proven quality framework. The Blockchained Youth Work will bring immense refreshment to the youth work with its innovative digital solutions that are applicable beyond the youth sector and youth work. This project will provide a common language and value base, it will legitimize the work done by the youth sector, improve understanding of innovation and quality, enhance quality in educational practices, and support the experience that youth workers bring to society. With its sustainable approach, the Blockchained Youth Work will influence more than just the youth sector, during and after the implementation of the project. Moreover, it will strongly contribute to increasing quality, and innovation by improving digital readiness, resilience, and capacity and the visibility of youth work.

With the Blockchained Youth Work, we wish to tackle the insufficient recognition and validation of youth work and address them with digital innovation.

Our objectives are to:

• Create a quality framework for educational practices in the field of youth
• Pilot the innovative platform based on blockchain technology for the validation, recognition, quality assurance and supply of youth work relevant learning outcomes
• Advocate for the quality of youth work at the national, regional and EU level

Core activities are:

• Analysis of educational practices in partner’s countries (training offer) and existing quality parameters
• Needs analysis of various stakeholders
• Development and testing of block chain platform and user-friendly apps
• Creating a visual identity for the project and platform
• Several testing events on a national and international levels
• Piloting the platform
• Collection of national key issues related to youth work recognition and validation
• Advocacy activities
• Quality dissemination
